Building a Generation
The evening after the cousins became friends, the family experienced something that I had been waiting for for a while: a burglar. This is the cop beating up the burglar. He had stolen the computers off the desks right nearby. Luckily, I could just replace them.
Of course, immediately following this, Alexa went into labor for the third and final time, and there was much mutual freaking out by the family. Notice no one doing anything useful at this point. Originally, I had only planned for this generation to have two kids, but as Zoe and Buck both headed off to the great digital beyond earlier than I expected, I decided to add another family member. Both Michale and Alexa had a want for another baby anyway, so I decided to oblige them.
A few hours later, Alexa brought home Bethany, who is, at this point, competition for heiress with Blythe. Note Blythe playing it cool by calmly doing her homework as the potential interlocutor arrives for the first time.
As time marches ever forward, Beckett becomes a teenager, and I realize exactly how far apart Bethany and Beckett are in age. Oh well, they just have a kid sister, I suppose! Too late now. I’m not sure if I mentioned his stats, so as of this point:
Beckett Washburne – Brave, Excitable, Good and Charismatic. His lifetime want is to be an International Super Spy. I realized that this unintentionally makes him an homage to one of my favorite TV characters, Kate Beckett of the show Castle, who is a badass female cop. Anyway, he is my tribute to that awesome show. He is going to do the Athletic Challenges (like his aunt Arianna) and if I can, the logic ones. I haven’t attempted those yet, so we’ll see how that goes.
Just a day after that, Bethany became a toddler, and, therefore, much more interesting (it’s true).
No one else was awake for her birthday, so it was an intimate affair between her and mom.
Okay, so Alexa still wins the heirship because of the awesome hair and eyes, but her genetics are pretty awesome too. Anyway, her favorite color is purple. She is Brave and Loves the Outdoors. And will be the adorable younger sister. I am thinking she will do well to take over Aunt Aurora’s garden, when the time comes. Not sure what her LTW will be!
Another thing I loved after the update? Kid-Toddler interactions! Check out this peek-a-boo action! Bethany’s social was getting low, so I had Blythe play with her little sister, even if it did interrupt the little bit of the TSAL she had left.
As usual, birthdays come in threes – this time Blythe’s birthday. She clearly had a raucous party, rocking out with her aunt, mom, dad and brother.
And is a totally reasonable looking teenager. Her LTW is Culinary Librarian. She is Brave, Virtuoso, Athletic and Friendly. She will be going for the cooking challenges, like her grandmother before her, and maybe the Athletic ones, if I’m feeling it.
Score: 23!
Gone the Sun
As we left it, Buck Washburne had just gone to the great beyond, and the family was just getting back to regular life.
Beckett likes playing chess. We like encouraging this. I’m not sure if I’m going to have him do the logic challenges, since I started Michale on them as well. Who knows.
Here’s Blythe working on the TSAL – I didn’t get her to the library, but they did well.
Suddenly, however Zoe went sparkly. They were barely out of mourning for Buck!
And of course, she had to die in the bathroom.
Michale was the first, again to mourn for his in-laws. It was extremely cute. He came home from work and went immediately to mourn.
However, Buck decided to come by for Blythe’s birthday. It was early in the morning and he was haunting around and totally came to see the party.
She is the cutest thing ever and she rolled Athletic as her third trait. Like I said, the next one will have to have excellent genes to win over Blythe!
At this point, I installed the new update – and note – dreaming! So exciting. I missed dreaming! I tend to watch them dream a little bit every evening.
Buck came for a visit again, and ended up dancing with Aurora. It was incredibly cute. I love the interactions with ghosts, especially since they often aren’t scary anymore. I am also a little surprised that no one got the science opportunity to revive anyone, but it could happen soon, I suppose. Buck had it for his parents, but I didn’t use it, since I didn’t want to revive them.
Beckett brought home a friend on one of his first days of school - turns out he is a cousin – Alex Shallow-Washburne! Nice to have cousins in the neighborhood – mostly since Buck had a few kids before he moved in with Zoe! So they are still running around the neighborhood having kids.
No real new points this chapter, but hey, we’re just getting caught up here. Looks like one more update, and we’ll be caught up to where I’ve played.
It’s really great to be playing and say hi if you’re still reading!
Back in the Game
Hello again everyone!
I am sure you thought that I had given up on my legacy, but I had to pause basically my entire life to make sure that I got my grad school applications in. Even so, I only managed to get them in on December 31. Luckily, they are not due for another few weeks, but I needed to focus on them and did it!. Anyway, it’s been about five weeks since I’ve played, and it seems that all the information from my family has totally slipped out of my brain. So, I’m going to fire-up my game and get back into things, and then see where everything is.
I do have an old update that is about half way done, but I don’t remember enough, and I’m hoping that by getting into it, I will remember it. We’ll see!
Since I am still in the process of doing applications for scholarship/fellowships/money to live on, I am planning on updating about twice a week, not sure exactly when. It might be Monday and Wednesday – or other days. It will really depend on how things work out. I also received World Adventures for Hanukkah (yay!) but although I have read through the guide I got as well, I haven’t installed it. So, once I know what’s going on with my game, I will hopefully also install that. I’ll let you know what happens there!
Anyway, I hope some of your are still reading, and I can’t wait to get more caught up again!
All my love,
Jessica
